Israeli authorities today issued three military orders to seize Palestinian-owned lands in Beit Jala, Tuqu; and al-Rashayda in the south of the occupied West Bank in order to expand nearby illegal Israeli settlements, according to sources.
Hasan Breijieh, from the Bethlehem anti-settlements and anti-wall committee, said that Israeli authorities issued orders to seize lands in al-Makhrour area, owned by people from Beit Jala and al-Khadr town, aiming to expand a street connecting Jerusalem and the illegal Israeli settlement of Gush Etzion.
He noted that Israel also ordered seizing lands in al-Rashayda village in order to expand the settlement of Ma’ale Amos, as well as orders to seize lands in Tuqu to expand the Nokdim settlement.
Israeli settlers seized two days ago Palestinian land al-Makhrour area and placed a caravan on it in preparation for building a new settlement in that area.
